15 December 2015
The Government has announced the reappointment of Dr Rhonda Smith as a non-judicial member of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia for two years from 12 December 2015.
Dr Smith has been a member of the Copyright Tribunal for 14 years and brings economic expertise that is highly valued, given the complexity of economic evidence often presented to the Tribunal.
The Copyright Tribunal is a specialist Commonwealth tribunal that principally hears disputes relating to the fixing of royalties and remuneration payable under licences for the use of copyright material.
Dr Smith is a Senior Lecturer in the Economics Department of the University of Melbourne and has been an Associate Commissioner and Commissioner of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
The Government congratulates Dr Smith on her reappointment.
