The Australian Government has appointed Ms Shirley In’t Veld to the Board of NBN Co Limited (nbn) for a term of three years.
Ms In’t Veld has served for more than 15 years on the boards of a number of large listed firms including infrastructure and industrial companies. Ms In’t Veld has a strong legal, strategic business development, management and governance background.
Ms In’t Veld has also previously been chosen to act on expert government panels run by the Australian and Queensland Governments and is a member of a number of industry peak governing bodies.
The Government congratulates Ms In’t Veld on her appointment and look forward to the contribution she can make to the nbn Board as it guides the national broadband network rollout to all Australian homes, schools and businesses.
Ms In’t Veld’s appointment to the Board commenced on 2 December 2015.
The Government would also like to thank outgoing Board member Ms Alison Lansley for her contribution on the nbn Board during the past three years.
