29 March 2016
The Government today announced the appointment of the Honourable Justice Andrew Greenwood as President of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia for a three year term commencing on the 24 March 2016.
Justice Greenwood was appointed to the Federal Court of Australia on 4 August 2005 and has extensive intellectual property expertise.
Justice Greenwood experience will be highly valuable given the complex copyright issues that are often presented at the Copyright Tribunal.
The Copyright Tribunal is a specialist Commonwealth tribunal that principally hears disputes relating to the fixing of royalties and remuneration payable under licences for the use of copyright material.
The Government would like to thank the Honourable Annabelle Bennett AO who resigned as President of the Copyright Tribunal for her service.
