FINALLY: GOVERNMENT DELIVERS COALITION PROMISE
The Coalition spokesperson for Disabilities, Senator Mitch Fifield, today welcomed the launch of a website dedicated to providing educational materials for parents with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
“I was delighted to attend the launch and surf the site which will be a great resource for parents,” Senator Fifield said.
“In October 2007 the Coalition launched a $190 million package of measures to assist families of children with Autism. One of those measures was a website to help parents with strategies and resources for raising children with Autism.
“The Rudd Government re-announced this policy as if it was their own in July last year.
“The Coalition planned to have the website up and running by July 2008.
“Although late, this resource will be welcomed by parents.”
