The Government has announced the re-appointment of Daryl Karp as a non-executive Director of the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Board for a second five-year term.
During her first term, Ms Karp has made an important contribution to the SBS Board with her knowledge of the broadcasting industry gained during her time as the Chief Executive Officer of Film Australia and as a senior executive at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She has also supported the unique role of SBS in connecting with multicultural communities and facilitating social cohesion.
Ms Karp brings substantial broadcasting industry knowledge to the role and possesses considerable experience in multicultural affairs, and a deep understanding of cultural sensitivities.
Ms Karp’s demonstrated commitment to promoting cultural diversity also supports the purpose of the SBS, which makes her a highly valued member of the SBS Board.
The Government congratulates Ms Karp on her re-appointment and looks forward to her contribution and expertise to the SBS Board in the future.
