The Australian Government is pleased to announce the re-appointment of the Honourable Justice Andrew Greenwood as the President of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia for a further term of five years.
Justice Greenwood has been a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia since 2005 and has extensive experience in intellectual property, including copyright.
Justice Greenwood was appointed as the President of the Copyright Tribunal on 24 March 2016. Justice Greenwood’s current term as President is due to expire on 23 March 2019, and His Honour’s second term as President will commence on 24 March 2019.
The Copyright Tribunal is a specialist Commonwealth tribunal that principally hears disputes relating to the fixing of royalties and remuneration payable to copyright collecting societies under copyright licences.
The Government congratulates Justice Greenwood on his re-appointment as President and thanks His Honour for his valuable, ongoing service to the Copyright Tribunal.
